This 2 part event involved a presentation at Perito Urology on the procedure and presenting it as a treatment option to patients.  The following day Physicians attended surgical training at Coral Gables Hospital in Coral Gables Florida observing Dr. Perito as he performed 4 UroLift Procedures.

Dr. Perito participated as a key faculty presenter sharing his vast expertise on the infrapubic approach for prosthetic urology. The course was designed for those physicians who have experience with IPP’s, but who are looking to advance their skills to the next level.  During this workshop key implanters discussed their different approaches to penile implantation, difficult cases and outcomes, and shared ideas on how penile prosthetics can be improved moving forward.  The panel discussion was followed by a surgical cadaver lab where invited physicians could scrub in and practice first-hand these novel techniques with the faculty.

Dr. Perito Discussed “The Perito Implant”, Minimally Invasive Implant Procedure as well as Peyronie’s Disease and current treatments for this debilitating disease.  For one hour Dr. Perito and Dr. Alukal discussed the aforementioned topics and received calls from the general public.  Dr. Alukal’s show is well known for addressing men’s health issues with attention to current publications and advancements.

Dr. Perito and Rafael Carrion presented to members of the south east section American Urology Association the pros and cons of the Penile Scrotal and Infrapubic approaches to Penile Implantation.  In attendance were many board certified Urologists trained by both doctors promising novel banter amongst serious Implanters.

Good Morning Coral Gables was a networking event sponsored by Coral Gables Hospital.  This breakfast event took place at the Biltmore Hotel – 1200 Anastasia Ave., County Club Ball Room, Coral Gables, Florida at 7:30am on March 20, 2014.  Dr. Perito, Dr. Bassols, Dr. Andrade, and Dr. Eskin sat in on a Panel Discussion regarding Men’s Health.  Dr. Perito’s discussion included Impotence and Penile Prosthetics, Urinary Incontinence, Peyronie’s Disease, and Testosterone Replacement Therapy in Men.

Coral Gables Hospital is proud to host visiting urologic surgeons from Moscow, as they participated in sharing ideas and learning the latest techniques in advanced urologic surgery.  Training included the highly specialized penile implantation approach of Dr. Paul E. Perito, Chief of Surgery at Coral Gables Hospital where he and the Coral Gables staff routinely conduct 400-500 penile implants on an annual basis.

Four Russian surgeons traveled nearly 10,000 miles to learn heightened elements of Dr. Perito’s techniques, as they closely observed six penile implant procedures.  “We have numerous videos online and can conduct webinar presentations and other online training, however live surgery is still the gold standard for training surgical methodology,” stated Dr. Perito, a fixture at Coral Gables Hospital for over (X years).  Russia represents a growing population of men who inquire about surgical treatment for Erectile Dysfunction.  The surgeons will spend time not only observing and interacting with Dr. Perito, but also the watching and learning from the Coral Gables Hospital staff, to be able to reproduce the Coral Gables success of succinct “Perito penile implant” procedures that often are conducted in less than 15 minutes.
