On Saturday morning, the group reconvened at The M.A.R.C. Institute, a premier bioskills training facility located in Doral, Florida. Known for its state-of-the-art surgical labs, The M.A.R.C. Institute provided an ideal environment for hands-on surgical training using cadaveric models, allowing residents and fellows to practice and refine their techniques under expert guidance.
The focus of the cadaver lab was penile prosthesis implantation, an essential procedure for restoring sexual function in men suffering from erectile dysfunction. Throughout the morning, participants had the rare opportunity to receive direct instruction from Dr. Perito and his esteemed co-faculty, gaining invaluable experience with the infrapubic approach and other surgical methodologies.
