Dr. Perito attended last month’s Advanced Surgical Course along with 18 other prosthetic surgeons from around the country. The course was created with the goal to expand the skillsets of the attendees in Men’s Health procedures.

The first day featured a dinner and presentations of Case Studies with various inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) scenarios. Attending surgeons were able to engage in discussions with the elite faculty of prosthetic urologists.

The course resumed the following day at the Center for Advanced Learning and Simulation (USF CAMLS) with comprehensive didactic presentations covering prosthetics for issues relating to men’s sexual health and stress urinary incontinence. The second half of the course was dedicated to a hands-on surgical opportunity focusing on surgical techniques with six cadaver lab stations of infrapubic, penoscrotal, reservoir, two complication stations, and male sling.

The course, sponsored by Coloplast was a massive success and presented attendees with a great opportunity to expand their prosthetic skillsets.
