What do you get when you mix a group of rising-star urologists, world-renowned surgeons, complex cases, and a splash of Miami sun? Just another unforgettable week at Perito Urology!
From April 1st through April 4th, our Coral Gables campus turned into a global hub for high-level IPP (Inflatable Penile Prosthesis) and UroFill® training—where knowledge met experience, and where the future of men’s health took center stage.
April 1–2: Case Western Crew Hits the 305
We kicked off the week with a warm welcome to three incredible PGY-5s from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio:
Dr. Kimberly Tay, Dr. Helen Sun, and Dr. Nick Sellke—all soon-to-be attending urologists, and all ready to soak up the Perito Technique.
- Tuesday brought clinic into full swing: real-world exposure to new patients, post-op follow-ups, and live patient counseling.
Wednesday was all about scrubs and scopes: our guests suited up for a full day in the OR at Coral Gables Surgical Center, watching the Perito Minimally Invasive Infrapubic Technique in action.
But the highlight? International star power. We were honored to host two master implanters from overseas:
Dr. Sam Ward from Belgium and Dr. Ege Can Serefoglu from Istanbul, Turkey.
Both are true pioneers in penile implants in their respective countries—and both generously shared pearls of wisdom, technique tips, and inspiring stories with our visiting residents.
April 3: Round Two from the Buckeye State
Just as the first team wrapped up, in came another powerhouse pair from Ohio:
- Dr. Raevit Bole, a returning attending urologist (on her second IPP training tour with us—because real pros know there’s always more to learn).
- Dr. Brittany Berk, a fellow from Cleveland Clinic, finishing her final months before heading off to Fairfield, CT.
This crew dove into Thursday clinic with the same energy—and stayed late for an evening didactic session joined again by Drs. Ward and Serefoglu. The night was filled with deep dives, case reviews, and lively discussions over drinks (because this is Miami, after all).
April 4: Finishing Strong with Complex Cases
We ended the week with a Friday full of fire:
Four complex surgical cases, each one a teaching moment in anatomy, troubleshooting, and advanced implant technique.
From revisions to challenging corporal fibrosis, every case gave our visitors a front-row seat to high-level penile implant surgery and the nuanced decision-making that comes with it.
Why It Mattered
This week wasn’t just about the procedures—it was about mentorship, collaboration, and preparing the next generation of urologists to deliver expert care with confidence and compassion.
We’re proud to offer a training environment that’s hands-on, inclusive, and filled with opportunities to learn from the best—both domestic and international.
Big thank you to all of our visiting doctors for making the trip. Your curiosity, dedication, and enthusiasm are what make weeks like this unforgettable.
Special Thanks To:
- Dr. Kimberly Tay, Dr. Helen Sun, Dr. Nick Sellke
- Dr. Raevit Bole, Dr. Brittany Berk
- Dr. Sam Ward (Belgium)

Stay tuned—more training weeks, more great cases, and more international collabs are coming soon to Perito Urology.
Because when it comes to men’s health, we don’t just do implants. We build a global community.
