“This was a busy meeting for Perito Urology. With the help of many coauthors, we presented 10 abstracts related to decreasing infections in implant patients, correcting anatomical problems with the glans after surgery, sex-friendly treatments for prostate disease and much more.
The Masters in Prosthetic Urology Course and Lab may have been the highlight of my trip. A large group of some of the most accomplished implantors gathered together to work with many of the upcoming stars. Some of us do our best work in double-wides (the lab really was in a trailer!).
The SUPS Didactic sessions and Lab brought together many of the same instructors and some 35 residents from many different programs. I find these especially rewarding because the residents tend to be more fluid with change and that works well with the way I teach.
Finally, I was a speaker on several Coloplast sponsored Symposium Panel Discussions: “Educating Patients on ED”, “Comparative Aspects of Inflate Devices” are some of the examples. Overall, we had a huge week which will be followed by another huge week operating with Gabriele Antonini at the University of Roma. Can’t wait!”
