Two More Abstracts Accepted for American Urological Association Annual Meeting

Dr. Perito is pleased to announce that two submissions he helped coauthor to the 2019 American Urological Association’s Annual Meeting were accepted, for a grand total of 4 abstracts along with his other speaking engagements for the weekend. This year’s meeting will be in Chicago, IL, where they will present their research to an audience of urologists from all around in the world.

The additional abstracts that will be presented are: “Immediate preoperative blood glucose and Hemoglobin A1c levels are not predictive of post-operative infections in diabetic men undergoing penile prosthesis placement,” as well as “Adherence to the AUA antibiotic prophylaxis guidelines in diabetic patients is associated with significantly higher risks of penile prosthesis infection.” These presentations as well as Glans Hypermobility associated with placement of a Penile prosthesis: Incidence and Treatment Options” and “Penile prosthesis implementation while on anticoagulant therapy: a retrospective study,” have The Perito research team excited to share their findings with the urology community at large.
