Dr. Paul Perito hosted a collaborative surgical workshop with Dr. Robert Valenzuela today in Coral Gables.

Dr. Valenzuela, with extensive experience implanting the three piece inflatable penile prosthesis, has adopted and refined his own procedure.  He offers many patients a variety of advantages particularly those concerned with curvature and length.  His novel straightening and length preservation techniques are “cutting edge” in the field.  Partly because of the excellent exposure from the sub-coronal incision; the “Modified Slide Technique” offers the patient an alternative to traditional peno-scrotal and infra-pubic procedures. Although, the procedure takes considerably more time, Dr. Valenzuela feels that the benefit to patient is often worth it.  Dr. Valenzuela practices out of New York and is one of the only surgeons currently performing this procedure.
