Coral Gables Hospital Trains International Physicians in Penile Implant Procedure
Coral Gables, FL (April 2014) – Dr. Paul E. Perito, urologist at Coral Gables Hospital, hosted a surgical training session for a group of eight international physicians in March. Dr. Perito instructed the surgeons on his technique for a minimally invasive penile implant procedure that offers patients faster recovery times. Penile implantation can be a permanent, effective solution designed to restore sexual function to men with erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction is a common occurrence among men and is usually associated with health conditions, medications or surgery.
“Coral Gables Hospital is honored to serve as a training facility once again this year for distinguished physicians from Brazil and Russia,” said Jeffrey M. Welch, chief executive officer of Coral Gables Hospital. “Our hospital is a leader in penile implant surgery and we are proud to share in our success with surgeons from other countries.”
The Urology program at Coral Gables Hospital provides comprehensive care from a team of surgical experts with the most advanced training and experience and treats a variety of conditions including prostate disease, bladder conditions, kidney stones and kidney disease.
