Already a penile implant patient? In preparation for your visit, Perito Urology requests that each patient bring results from a set of common lab tests that your physician will likely have on file. In most cases, we require the following tests:
- Blood tests
- CBC
- PT
- PTT
- BMP
- Micro urine analysis
- Chest X-Ray
- EKG
If you have significant medical problems, a pre-operative medical/cardiac clearance should be obtained. Consulting doctors should be informed that you would undergo a 15-minute procedure that can be done under local, spinal or general anesthetic. Special attention should be considered when on blood thinners. We are capable of performing the procedure while on blood thinners if mandated by other underlying disease.
